The post holder will work collaboratively with Principal Investigators, co investigators and all staff involved with clinical research across the Centre and affiliated NHS Trusts. Main duties of the job The post holder will ensure oversight of studies, conduct risk assessments, contribute to education, training and clinical management within the clinical research team and support nurse revalidation. About us The UCL Institute for Global Health (IGH) is at the heart of UCL's Grand Challenge of Global Health. This post is based in the UCL Centre for Clinical Research in Infection and Sexual Health. The Centre has a research programme covering a wide range of studies from observational cohort studies, qualitative and mixed methods studies to intervention trials. Historically most of the work has focussed on HIV and other sexually transmitted infections including viral hepatitis. However, our portfolio of research extends to other infectious diseases research particularly TB, COVID-19, and Mpox. The centre collaborates with other centres in IGH to provide the support needed to conduct clinical research. We work closely with the Centre for Population Research in Sexual Health and HIV on research concerning digital health and pathways for care in sexual health. In the case of TB, our work is closely linked with the Centre for Molecular Epidemiology and Translational Research, the Centre for Pragmatic Global Health Trials and the MRC Clinical Trials Unit at UCL. These centres host a number of infectious disease studies (including TB) as part of a programme of transdisciplinary global health research. We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Research Nurse to join our dynamic team and gain broad experience in a clinical research setting.
