We are seeking a qualified Practice Nurse to join us on a permanent part-time or full-time basis, working 24 to 37.5 hours per week over 3 to 5 days. We welcome applications from experienced and newly qualified Practice Nurses who are passionate about delivering high-quality patient care and working as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team. Salary: Competitive and dependent on experience. Main duties of the job We are looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated and compassionate Practice Nurse who can provide a friendly, caring and professional nursing service to our 11,000 patients. The role will involve a broad range of primary care nursing duties, including cervical screening (cytology), wound care, suture and clip removal, asthma and COPD management, diabetes management, childhood and DES immunisations, requesting pathology tests such as urine cultures and swabs, and the assessment, monitoring and management of long-term conditions. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with GPs, clinicians and the wider practice team to provide high-quality, patient-centred care and ensure the health and wellbeing needs of our patients are met. About us We are located on Wapping High Street, just a two-minute walk from Wapping London Overground Station, providing excellent transport links. Wapping Group Practice is a well-established, respected training and teaching practice with a friendly and supportive multidisciplinary team, including 10 GPs, 1 Practice Nurse, 4 Pharmacists, 2 HCAs and a dedicated support team of 12 including managers and administrative staff. The post holder will deliver appropriate treatment, screening, health promotion, education and clinical advice within their professional competence and scope of practice. The Practice Nurse will develop and manage individualised care programmes for patients with long-term conditions and specific health needs, contribute to preventative health programmes, participate in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives, and support the delivery of practice targets and contractual requirements.
