You will also receive training to keep your skills up to date and d Main duties of the job Helping patients with personal care, meals, hydration and safe movement. Taking and recording observations, including temperature, pulse, blood pressure and oxygen levels. Recording fluid balance and reporting any concerns to the registered nurse. Listening to patients and responding sensitively to their needs. Working closely with nurses and other colleagues to deliver agreed care. Maintaining a clean, organised ward and following infection prevention procedures About us You will join our Oncology Inpatients team in the Duchess of Devonshire Wing. You will work with nurses, consultants and other healthcare professionals to support patients with cancer. As a Healthcare Assistant, you will spend time with patients every day. Getting to know them will help you understand what they need and notice when something changes. Your care and observations will be an important part of the team's work.
