In this role: o Work alongside Band 7 colleagues and specialist teachers to develop and deliver our exciting Experts at Hand service, providing universal, targeted, and specialist support for children and young people who do not have an EHCP o Build strong partnerships with schools across your allocated cluster, delivering high-quality speech and language therapy while empowering education staff through consultation, coaching, and workforce development o Champion inclusive practice by helping schools develop communication-friendly environments and approaches to supporting children with SLCN o Collaborate with experienced MDT colleagues to further develop and expand our well-established JCT offer, ensuring all schools and settings across the borough can access expert communication supporto Contribute to service innovation and strategic development, helping shape the future of integrated speech, language, and communication provisionIn the CLCH SLT service we are passionate about reducing inequalities and have an active diversity and inclusion ethos. Take a look at our recruitment video to find out more about working in our teams: CLCH S&L Recruitment - YouTube Main duties of the job Key duties include: Work at part of a multi disciplinary to deliver the Experts at Hand Service in Hammersmith and Fulham Work across primary, secondary and post 16 services in the borough To assess the need for, develop and implement Speech and Language Therapy treatment to children with a wide range of speech, language and communication difficulties. Identify appropriate strategies to facilitate and enhance communicative effectiveness in the home, school and other relevant settings. To make appropriate clinical decisions following assessment, using evidence-based practice and outcome measurement to provide the most effective treatment to children and their families within clearly defined care plan. To make a differential diagnosis on the basis of evidence from assessment. To demonstrate clinical effectiveness by use of evidence-based practice and outcome measures relevant to the field, in particular in the field(s) of specialisation. We can offer you: Work within innovative, motivated and well-established teams, in a supportive and progressive environment. Joint working with other professionals, parents, and class teams to develop a shared understanding of each child's speech, language and communication needs and how these can be supported. Support to develop your supervision skills and skills in training others. Access to 1:1 & peer group supervision sessions and a regular in-house training programme to develop clinical skills.
