We are a16,000
patient training practice based in the Waldron Health Centre, a modern,
spacious facility in the heart of Deptford, North Lewisham. Deptford is a
dynamic, diverse, culturally rich and rapidly changing neighbourhood with
pockets of deprivation alongside new developments. We are situated directly
opposite New Cross station and within walking distance of Deptford DLR, and Deptford station. Our practice values kindness,
approachability, friendliness and compassion, alongside high standards of
clinical care. Our working environment is supportive and collaborative, with twice
weekly tea breaks for all staff. We are a training practice and have a diverse
clinical team including Advanced Nurse Practitioners and a Clinical
Pharmacist. We very much work as a team and encourage and value everyone's
contributions We run a dedicated clinic for the
homeless, and a service for drugs and alcohol
addiction. We also have large
numbers of students in our population and we have a close link with Goldsmiths

disadvantages. Main duties of the job We are a Gold standard practice for the LGBTQ+ community You will be part of the ANP team which includes 2 other ANPs. We are diversifying the way we work. A significant part of the role involves managing our duty desk and
triage service. The successful clinician will assess online requests,
prioritise clinical need and decide the safest and most appropriate care for
each patient. This may include remote or face-to-face management, signposting
to other services or escalation to urgent or secondary care. The role requires
confident independent decision making, safe prescribing, clear documentation,
effective safety netting and appropriate use of available clinical pathways and
specialist advice. You will have your own designated clinics to call patients or see them face to face to address more complex health needs and also conduct regular home visits.
