Deptford is a dynamic, diverse, culturally rich and rapidly changing neighbourhood with pockets of deprivation alongside new developments. We are situated directly opposite New Cross station and within walking distance of Deptford DLR, Deptford station and New Cross Gate station. Our practice values kindness, approachability, friendliness and compassion, alongside high standards of clinical care. Our working environment is supportive and collaborative. We are a training practice and have a diverse clinical team including Advanced Nurse Practitioners and an internal Clinical Pharmacist. We also teach trainee GPs and GP registrars. We very much work as a team and encourage and value everyone's contributions, no matter what their level of experience. We have large numbers of students in our population and we have a close link with Goldsmiths University. We are committed to healthcare for all and to ensure everyone benefits we make special efforts to reach out to those patients who society disadvantages. We run a dedicated clinic for the homeless, and a service for drugs and alcohol addiction. Some of our salaried doctors are involved in research and community advocacy to improve access to health care for marginalised groups. Main duties of the job The post holder will provide clinical care within a team consisting of general practitioners, advanced healthcare professionals (ANPs, clinical pharmacist), practice nurses and Healthcare assistants. Patient contact will be mainly via triage, on-call duties and home visits Duties include, but not limited to daily duty triage, home visits, post-discharge reviews and minor illness management Provide care for presenting patient from initial history taking clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and evaluation of care. You must demonstrate safe, clinical decision-making and expert care, including assessment and diagnosis skills for patients within the general practice.
