Barts Health NHS Trust Consultant in Complex Spine Surgery The closing date is 19 October 2026 Apply for this job Job summary Barts Health NHS Trust Consultant in Complex Spine Surgery The Royal London Hospital 7 PA Post This role is essential to supporting and developing the spinal surgical practice at Barts Health NHS Trust and replaces a 0.7WTE consultant who has left the Department. This post is for a total of 7 PAs. This post has a particular focus on spinal trauma and includes a spinal trauma subspecialty leadership role and dedicated spinal trauma clinics. The spinal sub-specialty is a critical part of the trust's elective programme and is undergoing further development to ensure high-quality patient care. Main duties of the job The post is based at the Royal London Hospital. The successful candidate will also contribute to the establishment of a consultant-led designated spinal trauma rota, which is a 1:9 Consultant on the Week (COW) On Call commitment. Applicants must possess full General Medical Council (GMC) registration and be on the Specialist Register or within six months of receiving a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) at the time of interview.
