An Apprenticeship is a programme of work-based learning in which the successful candidate will be working towards an Apprenticeship in NHS Customer Services (Level 2). On an Apprenticeship, the post holder works towards their qualifications whilst learning a job role or a variety of roles within the Admin department. The aim for the post holder is to acquire the skills, knowledge, experience and qualifications that are required for them to be able to meet the requirements of a substantive position after the completion of their apprenticeship.The Apprenticeship lasts for 18 months and after this, Apprentices are given the opportunity andsupport to apply for a substantive role within East London NHS Foundation Trust if available. Eligibility requirements Potential apprentices must be 16 years old or above (there is no upper age limit). You must not have prior learning in the same subject that you wish to do an apprenticeship in. You must have been living in the UK for the last 3 years. If you are on a Visa, you must have a valid visa that covers the length of the apprenticeship contract; read more about whether your visa is suitable here- Apprenticeship Visa Requirements You must be able to access public funds and not already be in full-time education. You must be able to work 37.5 hours a week. Main duties of the job To be the first point of contact within a busy environment and welcome all in a professional andfriendly manner. The post holder is responsible for a range of reception and administrative dutiesand functions within the wider team and ensures that they are carried out efficiently, effectivelyand up to a high standard.To work alongside and to cover, when appropriate, other administration staff across severallocations in some instances.
