The successful candidate will play a crucial role in all stages of the laboratory process. We are looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated, hard-working individual able to demonstrate a flexible approach to work. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the 24 hour/seven day service after a period of suitable training. You will also engage in professional development activities, such as participating in CPD to maintain HCPC registration, attending training courses, and contributing to the training of other staff and healthcare professionals. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your career in a supportive and innovative environment. This post is based in the automated biochemistry laboratory at St Georges or at any of the South West London Pathology sites as and when necessary. During the life of the contract the post may transition to a purpose-built laboratory within the boundary of the SWLP network. Main duties of the job Provides specialist clinical technical services to patients that may include research and audit samples Contributes to providing a professional clinical laboratory service, working effectively as a team member as part of the overall department. Able to perform all core scientific and interpretive work, which corresponds to the training and qualifications of a Registered Biomedical Scientist. . To assist in training and supervising staff and deputising for the Advanced Biomedical Scientist when necessary.
