research-laboratory/). Main duties of the job Role of the Clinical Research Fellow:
* Provide a commitment to Imperial College London over a period to perform research leading to a
higher research degree (MD(Res), MD.
* Ensure ALS, ATLS and PALS (where appropriate) qualifications are up to date.
* Provide regular resident medical officer support to Charing Cross Hospital on a rota (without cover).
* Provide urgent and immediate clinical support for patients in response to verbal or written requests
by admitting Consultants and or Registered nursing staff.
Key Responsibilities within Imperial:
The post-holder will be supported by scientists to develop the necessarily skills to execute the research
needed for the MD. In addition, the post-holder needs to:
* Plan and carry out research in accordance with the project aims.
* Generate and display the results and interpret their implications.
* Write results for publication and dissemination via presentations and peer-reviewed journals.

senior academics with track-records of internationally impactful research whilst maintaining clinical skills
by providing on call cover in a leading London teaching hospital. The appointees' research work will
primarily take place in the Department of Surgery and Cancer. Clinical work may be undertaken to provide
on-call/cover clinics only at the direction of the Head of Department or person nominated. The appointee
cannot do any clinical work outside the employing organisation.
