We are looking for an enthusiastic and forward-thinking Pharmacy Technician to join our dynamic ePMA team at an exciting time of digital transformation. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop expertise in electronic prescribing systems while playing a key part in a groundbreaking initiative to support the transition of Clinical Trials from paper-based to fully digital processes. You will work closely with pharmacy, clinical, digital and research teams, helping to shape how medicines are managed safely and effectively for patients across our organisation. We are seeking a motivated individual with strong organisational and communication skills who enjoys problem-solving, working collaboratively and learning new skills. Main duties of the job To assist with the implementation, maintenance, development of electronic prescribing and medicines administration (ePMA) across Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. To support back-end technical processes such as configuration, development and testing of the Trust's current or future ePMA systems. To train and support all staff involved with the ePMA process. This includes pharmacy staff, prescribers, nurses and floorwalkers. To convey and promote benefits of ePMA and ensure any implementation is carried out in an effective and safe manner. To be a champion user of the ePMA system, applying extensive knowledge and understanding of how the system works and the workflow that staff need to follow to ensure safety The post holder will exercise professional accountability and responsibility using professional skills, knowledge and expertise in changing inpatient environments, across professional boundaries and in unfamiliar situations.
