As Matron, you will provide visible and compassionate leadership, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective and patient-centred care. Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, operational managers and clinical leaders, you will drive service improvement, support elective recovery programmes and contribute to the strategic development of modern perioperative services. The successful candidate will be instrumental in shaping the future of pre-operative assessment and day surgery pathways, ensuring patients receive seamless, timely and high-quality care from referral through to discharge. Main duties of the job An experienced senior nurse leader, ideally working at Matron, Senior Sister/Charge Nurse or equivalent level. Knowledgeable in perioperative care, pre-assessment services, day surgery and elective pathways. Experienced in leading service transformation and quality improvement projects. Able to demonstrate strong operational management and workforce leadership skills. Skilled in managing complex change and influencing across multidisciplinary teams. Committed to delivering outstanding patient care and improving patient experience. Passionate about staff development, inclusion and creating positive workplace cultures.
