Do you want to work in a multi award-winning GP Practice based in one of Londons most popular suburbs, proudly rated Outstanding by the CQC in 2026? The Richmond Road Partnership are looking to recruit a skilled, experienced, and enthusiastic Pharmacy Technician to join our award-winning practices based in Hackney and Wanstead. You will work closely with our Lead GP and Clinical Pharmacist to ensure the safe, accurate and timely supply of prescribed medication to patients. In addition, you will provide technical and administrative support to the Clinical Pharmacists and Clinicians as well as coordinating discharge summaries and medication reviews, playing a central role in repeat prescribing processes, liaising with our patients, carers, hospital and community pharmacies, responding to medication queries and updating medical records. Main duties of the job Support the effective management and safe operation of the practice repeat prescribing system and associated prescribing processes Promote cost-effective use of medicines and minimise medicines waste Support the practices High-Risk Drug Monitoring (HRDM) protocol Ensure administrative work is completed in order to achieve and implement prescribing initiatives Be a reliable, trained and informed resource to answer medicines related administrative queries Promote the safe and effective use of medicines and support the provision of appropriate patient information, in line with local pharmacy and medicines optimisation guidance Provide patient counselling and advice on the safe and effective use of medicines, within scope of practice, referring complex or clinical queries to the appropriate clinician Supervise train and update practice receptionists dealing with all aspects of repeat prescribing, making the best use of their skills Become a point of contact within and outside the surgery for all who deal with medicines related issues To develop effective relationships with local Community Pharmacies in relation to medicines management - measured by increased quality of liaison About us Richmond Road Partnership have three Practices Richmond Road Medical Centre, Sandringham Practice and Alderbrook Medical Centre. We are forward-thinking, well-established and amongst the highest achieving both locally and nationally. In addition to a full complement of GPs, Nursing Staff, Physiotherapists, Social Prescribers, and Health and Wellbeing Coaches, we have an exceptionally strong and supportive Centralised Clinical Pharmacist Team who will support integration, development, and supervision of this role.
