Working as a core memberof the multi-disciplinary team, care will be given to outpatients and inpatients. To manageeffectively and efficiently the patient caseload within the Plaster Room.To communicate effectively with other departments and disciplines. As a member of theclinic staff, the post holder will assist in the clinic activities when not specifically required inthe plaster room.The post holder is expected to have a flexible approach in ensuring the work of thedepartment is carried out to the required high standards and will contribute to the serviceimprovement and maybe required to work to support other clinical work within theoutpatient clinics.To be expected to practice autonomously within own scope of practice and exercise soundclinical judgement. Main duties of the job To manage on a day to day running of the plaster room efficiently.To manage effectively and efficiently the patient caseload within the plaster room, informing waiting patients of the reason for delays.To minimize hazards in the working area and report any identified hazards to the appropriate departments and line manager.To adhere to all safe systems of work applicable to the work area.To undertake risk assessments and implement risk reducing measures. Reporting to the appropriate department and line manager any deficiencies in the arrangements for minimising risk.To contribute to the learning needs of staff within the department.
