Full time (37.5 hours a week) - Bank, for six months from October 2026 to 31 March 2027 For internal candidates, secondment will be considered. We are seeking an enthusiastic and creative Specialist CAMHS Practitioner with a relevant qualification (Nurse, Family Therapist, Clinical/Counselling Psychologist, CBT Therapist, Psychotherapist) with therapeutic training and experience. We welcome applicants who enjoy working effectively as part of a team, have competencies in working with families from diverse cultures and ethnicities, and have a commitment to delivering high quality, evidence based practice. The successful candidate will join a stimulating and supportive multidisciplinary Emotional and Behavioural team (E&B) within Specialist CAMHS. You will have a varied caseload and provide brief treatment for often co-occurring emotional and behavioural difficulties and cases presenting with complexity and risk. You will be supported by a team consisting of highly experienced and skilled clinicians. We actively work with network colleagues to support our clients. Main duties of the job The E&B team works with young people across the age range with a wide range of presentations from moderate to severe mental illness, including those who have experienced trauma and abuse and those presenting with suicidality and self-harm. The E&B teams are composed of a mix of disciplines including Clinical Psychology, Systemic Family Therapy, Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, Mental Health Nursing, Creative Therapy and Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy. There is a broad range of therapy groups offered and the post holder would be supported and encouraged to develop skills in group work, alongside individual clinical work.
