Main duties of the job Responsible for: Diagnosis, treatment and continuing care of patients presenting as emergencies or referred; teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate medical staff and other staff; conducting research and participating in development activities of the department. Main purpose: To provide, in conjunction with consultant colleagues at the Homerton University Hospital a comprehensive out-patient, day stay and in-patient service for residents and for those referred from further afield to the breast unit. The post is designed for a fixed period to allow the candidate to gain additional experience in Oncoplastic Breast Surgery. To ensure we can continue to offer this opportunity to others, the contract will run for a limited time and is not intended to be an ongoing post, except in exceptional circumstances.
