The role is funded through the NHS GP Reimbursement Scheme and offers the opportunity to work with a vibrant and culturally diverse patient population. You will become part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team that is dedicated to improving health outcomes, reducing inequalities, and delivering accessible healthcare services tailored to the needs of our community. Whether you are looking to broaden your experience in general practice, develop specialist interests, or contribute to service improvement initiatives, this role provides an excellent platform to do so. The post is available on a fixed-term basis until 31 March 2027 , subject to current NHS funding arrangements. However, extension may be possible by mutual agreement. Main duties of the job The successful candidate will provide comprehensive primary care services to registered patients through a combination of face-to-face, telephone, and digital consultations. You will assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of acute and long-term conditions while supporting patients to make informed decisions about their health and wellbeing. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team, including nurses, pharmacists, social prescribers, care coordinators, and administrative colleagues, to ensure patients receive coordinated and effective care. The role also involves reviewing clinical correspondence, laboratory results, medication management, and maintaining accurate clinical records using EMIS Web. As part of the practice team, you will contribute to safeguarding responsibilities, clinical governance activities, quality improvement projects, and service development initiatives.
