Barts Health NHS Trust Locum Consultant in Endoscopy The closing date is 18 October 2026 Apply for this job Job summary Whipps Cross University Hospital Division of Medicine Locum Consultant Endoscopist - 12-Month Fixed Term An exciting opportunity has arisen for a 12-month Fixed Term Locum Consultant Endoscopist to join our established team of 14 Gastroenterology and Hepatology Consultants at Whipps Cross Hospital , part of Barts Health NHS Trust . This role is well suited to candidates who have recently achieved CCT as well as more experienced clinicians seeking a focused endoscopy post. Informal enquiries are warmly welcomed. We are looking for talented clinicians who want to contribute to this mission Main duties of the job Our Endoscopy Unit hosts BCSP lists , VCE , and has contributed to validation work for Colon Capsule , Cytosponge , and is currently trialing Hemopill . We also have a dedicated clinical trials facility. About the Role The post holder will take a lead role in delivering outpatient and inpatient endoscopy , contributing: 5 diagnostic upper and lower GI endoscopy sessions per week 1 outpatient clinic , with associated triage, Advice & Refer, and administrative duties Participation in departmental meetings, MDTs, audit, and service improvement is expected and encouraged.
