North London Hospice Registered Nurse (Bank) The closing date is 15 October 2026 Apply for this job Job summary North London Hospice is seeking a compassionate and motivated Registered Nurse to join our Inpatient Unit team on a bank basis. You will deliver high-quality, evidence-based palliative care to patients with life-limiting illnesses, ensuring their physical, emotional and psychological needs are met with dignity and respect. Working as part of a skilled multidisciplinary team, you will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care, support patients and families through challenging circumstances, and contribute to maintaining the highest standards of clinical practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a nurse with an interest in palliative and end of life care to make a meaningful difference every day. Main duties of the job As a Registered Nurse within the Inpatient Unit, you will provide holistic, patient-centred care to patients with complex palliative care needs. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, delivering and evaluating nursing care, administering medications safely, managing symptoms and wound care, and maintaining accurate patient records. The role involves providing emotional support to patients and their families, working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, and ensuring effective communication regarding patient progress and care plans. You will also supervise Healthcare Assistants and students, contribute to teaching and development activities, and support service improvement, risk management and the delivery of safe, high-quality care.
