Working alongside the Head Chef and Sous Chef, the postholder will help manage catering operations, ensuring residents and service users receive nutritious, appealing meals that meet their individual dietary, cultural, and religious requirements. The role involves overseeing food preparation and production, maintaining excellent food safety and hygiene standards, supporting menu planning, and contributing to a positive dining experience. The postholder will also support the development of colleagues and ensure catering services are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with organisational standards. Main duties of the job We are looking for an experienced and passionate Chef de Partie to join our Hospitality Team. You will support the delivery of high-quality food services across Jewish Cares care homes and community settings, helping to create meals that bring comfort, enjoyment, and connection to the people we support. Working closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef, you will oversee food preparation, maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene, and contribute ideas to menus and service improvements. We are looking for a Chef de Partie to assist our Sous Chef in managing all catering functions and the delivery of Hotel Services within Jewish Cares Homes and Community Centres. The Chef de Partie may oversee one area of the kitchen and will be responsible for the effective delivery of food services and customer care to an excellent standard. Accountable for maintaining food standards, meeting Health & Safety Regulations, handling finances and managing/developing a team with effective communication. This post will be working 5 out 7 days with a minimum expectation of 1 in 3 weekends and occasionally working late evenings to 10.30pm for special events.
