We have multiple opportunities for Band 6 Specialist Paediatric Occupational Therapists to join our Children's Integrated Therapies Service (CITS) in Hillingdon. This is an exciting time to join us. As our service develops, you'll have opportunities to bring your ideas, contribute to service development and help shape how we work. You'll work with children and young people aged 0-19, providing specialist assessment and intervention to help them overcome barriers to participation. You'll work closely with children, young people and families, schools, SEND colleagues, social care and our wider MDT. We're looking for someone who is passionate about paediatric OT, confident in their clinical decision-making and autonomous practice, collaborative, open to new ideas and committed to developing themselves and supporting others. We offer a robust CPD programme, internal and external training, regular supervision and support. This post attracts a Recruitment and Retention premium of up to 10% of basic salary. Main duties of the job As a Band 6 Specialist Paediatric Occupational Therapist, you will use your specialist clinical knowledge and skills to deliver high-quality, evidence-based assessment and intervention to children and young people across a range of settings and needs. You will manage your own complex caseload autonomously, working across schools, children's centres, nurseries, homes and clinics. You will need to prioritise effectively, work safely as a lone practitioner and recognise when to seek support from your supervisor or team leader. You will use your clinical reasoning to develop and deliver clear, outcome-focused care plans and provide concise, high-quality clinical documentation. You will work within relevant legal and professional frameworks, including EHCP statutory assessments, SEND guidance and safeguarding procedures. Working collaboratively is central to this role. You will involve children, young people and families in planning their care and work closely with schools, education, social care and the wider multidisciplinary team. You will also contribute to the development of others through mentoring, joint working, supervision and training, and will have opportunities to take on delegated leadership responsibilities and contribute to service development, audit and quality improvement.
