Diagnostic Radiographer in West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust,
working at one of our three sites: Watford General, Hemel Hempstead, or St
Albans. You will be an effective and proactive member of the Radiography team,
delivering a high standard of radiographic services to Radiologists and
patients while supervising junior staff and students. The role includes
participation in our 24/7 shift system and additional rotas across all three
sites. Main duties of the job As a
Senior Diagnostic Radiographer, you will
be responsible in the establishment and ongoing maintenance of quality
assurance programmes, as well as actively participate in and, where required,
lead clinical audit projects. Engagement in the Radiology Clinical Governance
programme is essential. This role also involves training staff and students in
the safe and effective use of X-ray department equipment, supervising junior
team members, and providing support and guidance as needed. You will be expected
to stay updated with professional developments in Radiology, attend relevant
seminars and courses, and maintain accurate, up-to-date records of Continuing
Professional Development (CPD) in line with HCPC requirements. A core aspect of
the role is to prioritise patient welfare and comfort at all times. We will also consider Band 5 Radiographer
