Main duties of the job We are recruiting 4 Peer Support Co-Ordinators to provide borough-wide peer support leadership across our four London boroughs of Barking & Dagenham, Havering, Redbridge and Waltham Forest, with a mix of full-time and part-time opportunities. Working predominantly within community and inpatient clinical teams, these roles will use lived experience and advanced peer support skills to support and mentor Peer Support Workers, strengthen integration within clinical services, contribute to training and workforce development, and provide peer-informed leadership, guidance and support across each borough.

The Peer Support Co-Ordinator (Havering) provides Peer Support leadership, co-ordination and senior peer support within our Community Mental Health services. The role bridges frontline peer support delivery and peer workforce leadership, ensuring Peer Support Workers (PSWs) are well supported, safely practicing, and effectively integrated into community services. The post holder will use lived experience, advanced peer support skills and developing leadership capability to: Support and mentor PSWs across the borough Act as a key link between PSWs, clinical leads and the PSW leadership team Support training delivery, Peer Support Worker forums and borough-wide events Provide peer-informed input into complex situations where additional lived experience expertise is required This role does not hold formal line management responsibility but provides day-to-day professional leadership, supervision, mentoring and support.
