Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust Head of Financial Services The closing date is 14 October 2026 Apply for this job Job summary We are seeking an experienced finance individual to provide senior finance leadership, expert technical advice and constructive challenge to finance, operational and corporate colleagues. Main duties of the job The postholder will lead the preparation of the Trust's annual accounts and relevant statutory and regulatory returns, ensuring compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards, NHS accounting guidance, tax requirements, national timetables and audit expectations. They will ensure that the Trust's ledger, balance sheet, cash, receivables, payables, fixed assets and associated financial controls are robust, transparent and supported by clear audit trails. The postholder will lead and develop the Financial Services Team, promote continuous improvement and effective use of digital systems, and deputise for the Deputy Chief Finance Officer as required. About us Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust is one of the region's busiest providers of healthcare. It was formed on 1 April 1998 following a merger between East Surrey Healthcare NHS and Crawley Horsham NHS Trusts. We are often referred to as 'SASH'.
