South West London and St Georges Mental Health NHS Trust Specialised Speech & Language Therapist The closing date is 15 October 2026 Apply for this job Job summary We are seeking an enthusiastic part-time (0.6 WTE) Speech and Language Therapist to join our Neurodevelopmental Assessment Team. The post holder will work within a supportive multidisciplinary team, contributing to the assessment and diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). The role will include co-facilitating assessments alongside experienced clinicians, providing Speech and Language Therapy input and undertaking appropriate clinical responsibilities within the team. The successful candidate will be supported to develop a broad range of skills and knowledge in neurodevelopmental assessment, including opportunities to develop greater autonomy and lead aspects of the assessment process as their experience grows. Clinical supervision and line management will be provided by the Clinical Lead Speech and Language Therapist or Clinical Psychologist within the Neurodevelopmental Assessment Team. Main duties of the job CAMHS Neurodevelopmental service supports children, young people and their families with neurodevelopmental presentations. Our MDT service is made up of disciplines including Psychiatry, Clinical and Counselling Psychology, Nurses, Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Positive Behaviour Support. The service offers assessments and pre/post diagnosis interventions for children and young people presenting with neurodevelopmental conditions (e.g. ASD and ADHD) including formulation and diagnosis where appropriate, as well as recommendations and signposting to our other services provided by partner organisations and services. CAMHS Neurodevelopmental Team serves the population of Wandsworth, Merton, Sutton, Kingston and Richmond. We value inclusivity in our service and are actively working in partnership with community organisations and families/carers to reach young people who find 'traditional' routes of neurodevelopmental services not accessible to them.
