King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust Junior Physiotherapist, Rotational The closing date is 22 October 2026 Apply for this job Job summary To ensure a high standard, efficient and effective physiotherapy assessment treatment and intervention for all patients for whom he/she is responsible. To assess and treat and manage own caseload of patients as an autonomous practitioner, including the maintenance of comprehensive records. To work as an effective team member, communicating appropriately with patients, carers and other team members as required. To supervise physiotherapy assistants and may be involved in teaching MDT staff. To undertake an evidence-based project throughout each rotation to further the clinical practice of self and the team, and to enhance patient care. This post is part of a 4 month rotational scheme including the following areas: Musculoskeletal Outpatients, Orthopaedics trauma and elective, Elderly Rehabilitation, acute and general Medicine, Respiratory including ICU and Surgery, Acute and Rehab Neurology. Duties within each rotation are delegated by the Clinical Lead Physiotherapist for the area. Main duties of the job To provide Physiotherapy assessment and treatment to patients on a designated case load. To use clinical reasoning to ensure provision of an evidenced based physiotherapy. To attend multidisciplinary meetings, family meetings, board rounds. Ensure that Physiotherapy management of a patient is integrated into the MDT management, treatment and discharge plans. To advise, guide and delegate to Physiotherapy assistants. To support quality improvement and continuing professional development. Establish good team working with Physiotherapy colleagues and MDT.
