Overview of role To undertake track inspection programme and to identify sub standard conditions, raising job orders for the necessary remedial works within a section of the line or completing TANC assessments. Ensuring the track maintenance gangs complete these works and that the track is maintained to safe and serviceable standards to meet the lines train services requirements. Key Accountabilities Deliver the track maintenance and inspection programme, so that the track assets within a defined section meet company and Business Unit Safety and Quality standards required for the operation of the scheduled train service. Inspect the track to promote the safety of customers, staff and contractors, ensuring that all aspects of the Company’s Safety Policy and processes are complied with together with relevant Health and Safety legislation. Manage the maintenance work bank to ensure the work is completed to the programme and to established quality and safety standards. Prepare monthly and 3 monthly Inspection programmes based upon the job holders own awareness of
