Overview
The London Borough of Harrow is seeking a committed and customer-focused Housing Lettings Officer to manage a wide range of non-complex housing management enquiries and provide timely, accurate information to both residents and colleagues. As part of the Housing team, the postholder will play a key role in supporting core functions, including signing up new tenants through face-to-face appointments, responding to general enquiries and correspondence, and assisting with day-to-day tenancy management and enforcement.
The successful candidate will actively contribute to promoting community engagement and building positive relationships within Harrow’s diverse communities. This includes carrying out home visits where necessary, facilitating access for essential safety checks such as gas servicing and Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR), and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements. The postholder should be able to work independently, manage a varied workload, and respond flexibly to the needs of residents and the service.
