An exciting opportunity… Brent is a tremendously vibrant London borough where the iconic arch of Wembley Stadium dominates the skyline. Spanning both inner and outer London, it is a borough of huge contrasts in terms of its economic, environmental, ethnic and social make up. Brent’s diversity is evident to all who visit our borough and our long history of ethnic and cultural diversity has created a place that is truly unique and valued by those who live and work here. The council is pursuing a far-reaching transformation agenda that better meets the needs of our community so it is an exciting time to join us.
The Post
We are looking for a Co-Production Connector (Parents/Carers) to support the Principal Social Worker for Children and Families in ensuring that parents and carers are actively involved in the design and implementation of the Families First Partnership Programme.
This role will support the participation and engagement of parents and carers through a range of workshops, activities and engagement opportunities. This could include supporting parent and carer reference groups, forums, focus groups and engagement events, helping to gather feedback and ensuring the experiences of families help inform service development and delivery.
You will assist with promoting the Families First Partnership Programme, developing communication and engagement materials, monitoring engagement activities and reporting on outcomes. The role will also involve supporting the delivery of training to the wider workforce, helping to collect and analyse feedback from parents and carers, and identifying learning and good practice to strengthen family participation across Children's Services.

• Basic IT skills, including experience using Microsoft Office applications.
• A collaborative approach and confidence in supporting workshops, forums and other engagement activities.
• A genuine commitment to using your lived experience to help shape and improve services for children and families.
