The role involves administering immunisations in community settings, including schools, and promoting the mental, physical, and emotional health of individuals and families. The nurse must be aware of the needs of children, families, and carers, including vulnerable children. The position requires partnership working with GPs, shared community services, and local education authorities. Main responsibilities include delivering immunisation programs, safely administering vaccines, mentoring, maintaining clinical knowledge, and participating in audits. The nurse should also communicate effectively, organise workloads independently, and adhere to professional conduct standards.
