Teaching Assistant (Level 5)
Haringey Learning Partnership
Do you want to make a real difference to young people who need it most?
Haringey Learning Partnership (HLP) is Haringey’s alternative provision. We work with pupils who have been excluded or are at risk of exclusion, or who have social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) or medical needs. Our aim is to help every pupil re-engage with learning and move on to a successful next step.
We’re looking for an experienced, resilient Level 5 Teaching Assistant to join our team at Commerce House or Philip House.
You will:
Deliver planned learning and targeted interventions to individuals and small groups
Build trusting relationships with pupils and help them manage their emotions and behaviour
Support pupils through reintegration to mainstream school
Play an active part in keeping children safe
You will need solid experience of working with young people with SEMH or behavioural needs, and a calm, consistent approach under pressure.
In return, we offer a supportive team, high-quality training and supervision, and the chance to see the difference you make every day.
HLP is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check, satisfactory references and online searches, in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education.
As a school, we embrace diversity and promotes equality of opportunity. We are a Disability Confident Employer and there is a guaranteed interview scheme for candidates with disabilities who meet the essential selection criteria.
In line with our safeguarding practices, we are unable to accept CV’s
