Support other viral hepatitis surveillance activities, which may comprise the sentinel surveillance of blood-borne virus testing, routine laboratory reports of hepatitis, enhanced surveillance of acute hepatitis A and B and any new hepatitis-related surveillance systems infections, including as part of outbreak response if required. Be responsible for co-ordinating and carrying out data collection, validation, preparing and disseminating surveillance reports, and interrogating databases (including writing database queries) in response to information requests and surveillance publications.
