We are looking to appoint two creative, innovative, dedicated, and passionate Family Group Conference/Restorative Intervention Coordinators into our team. You will be allocated work as a coordinator of Family Group Conferences as well as facilitate restorative intervention, mediation and support a groupwork programme. You will be working with a team of skilled workers in a busy service.
If you care about making a difference to the lives of families in Barking and Dagenham, and are eager to try new ideas, then this job is for you.

About you
You will be an effective communicator with the ability to organise and convene meetings wherein family members and relevant friends will meet to discuss issues pertinent to a child at risk and arrive at solutions that will enhance the child’s quality of life and wellbeing.
You will be a skilled, motivated and caring practitioner who is able to engage children, young people and family members and use a variety of techniques to assist them in changing behaviour and support them to develop realistic and creative solutions. You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well the ability to analyse complex information.
You will be able to make confident decisions, whilst demonstrating an ability to incorporate a variety of theoretical models which build on families’ strengths and focus on their protective factors. You will have an understanding and experience of contextual safeguarding and will keep the child at the center of your practice.
