West London GP Federation Finance Manager The closing date is 21 October 2026 Apply for this job Job summary The Finance Manager will be responsible for
supporting the CEO on finance and contracting issues, including undertaking
financial analysis of contracts and funding streams. This will include liaising
with our PCNs, Practices, and other organisations contracting with the
Federation. The post holder will also have oversight and responsibility for the
accuracy of the Federations financial records which are maintained using Xero
software. The Federation had a turnover of £15 million in the last financial year,
and the role will support continued growth. In undertaking the role, you will be able to
operate with a degree of autonomy and therefore will need to demonstrate the
ability to make appropriate on-the-spot decisions decisively and to communicate
these decisions well to staff. We are looking for a personable and motivated
individual with NHS or private healthcare experience in finance and
contracting. You will be used to working
in a fast-paced and changing environment. You should be able to work
autonomously, with attention to delivering high quality, responsive support
services. Interviews for this role will take place early October. Main duties of the job Finance, Business Planning and Governance Provides strategic financial leadership and operational oversight to ensure the Federation remains financially robust, compliant and responsive. Responsible for financial analysis, option appraisals and commercial advice to support service development, contracts and operational decision-making. Maintains accurate financial records across all accounting functions, including ledgers, cash management, fixed assets, VAT, Corporation Tax and payroll, ensuring effective use of Xero and compliance with statutory requirements. Supports the CEO and Executive Director with financial planning, contract performance analysis, commercial negotiations and ARRS funding matters. Leads the calculation and recovery of charges to PCNs for services and workforce costs, building strong relationships with practices and resolving issues promptly. Ensures compliance with data security, GDPR and financial governance requirements, working closely with PCNs and practices on financial reporting needs. Contributes to effective risk management and organisational performance through continuous improvement and strong governance practices. Maintains positive relationships with Board members, Directors and senior managers, fostering a collaborative working culture. Supports effective complaint management and acts in a way that upholds organisational policies, individual rights and the Federation's values. About us The LMA West London GP Federation (the Federation) is an organisation representing and supporting general practice across the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea and Westminster (QPP). It comprises five Primary Care Networks (PCNs) and 39 GP practices, serving a registered patient population of approximately 300,000. The Federation works collaboratively with partners across the Integrated Care Board (ICB), local authorities, NHS providers, and the voluntary and community sector to deliver integrated, neighbourhood-based care.
