About us
The City of London Corporation’s Housing Division is committed to putting residents at the heart of the services we deliver. We want to make it easier for residents to have their voice heard, ensure their experiences shape our services, and turn feedback into meaningful improvements.
Our Resident Involvement Strategy sets out an ambitious approach to creating more inclusive and accessible opportunities for residents to influence housing services and decision-making.
About the role
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and experienced
Resident Involvement Officer
to help us deliver this ambition.
Working closely with colleagues across Housing, you’ll develop and deliver engaging opportunities for residents to have their say, from community meetings and events to online engagement and consultation exercises. You’ll build positive relationships with residents and community groups, ensuring that a diverse range of voices – including those who may be harder to reach – are heard.
You’ll also act as an adviser and facilitator to colleagues, helping embed a strong culture of resident involvement across the Housing Division.
Key responsibilities
Deliver a range of face-to-face and online resident engagement activities, consultations, meetings and events.
Recruit and support a diverse and representative group of engaged residents.
Build effective relationships with residents, community groups, elected Members and partner organisations.
Support resident panels, project groups and Residents’ Associations.
Facilitate online engagement platforms and forums.
Work with colleagues to ensure resident feedback informs service design, improvement and performance.
Provide advice, guidance and support to colleagues on effective resident involvement.
Capture and communicate the outcomes and impact of engagement activity.
