If you take pride in delivering a good service, enjoy working in your local community and want to help keep estates clean, safe and welcoming for residents, we would like to hear from you. This is a hands-on role working across housing estates, suited to someone reliable, motivated and committed to maintaining high standards. In this role, you will: Carry out scheduled cleaning tasks across communal areas of housing estates. Operate and maintain cleaning equipment safely and effectively. Support waste management activities, including the removal of bulky waste. Carry out fire safety and health and safety checks within communal areas. Identify and report defects, hazards and other issues affecting communal areas. Remove graffiti within agreed timescales. Engage with residents and contribute to service improvements. Work collaboratively with colleagues and other council teams. About You: We are looking for someone who can demonstrate: Experience of working in a customer-focused environment. Experience of working outdoors in housing, estate services or a similar operational environment. An understanding of cleaning services or similar operational work. Awareness of health and safety and safe working practices. Good communication skills and the ability to work with residents and colleagues in a professional manner. The ability to work independently and manage a varied workload. A reliable and positive approach, with a commitment to delivering a high-quality service. A willingness to learn and adapt to changing service needs. Good communication skills, with the ability to work positively with residents, colleague. A Basic DBS check is required for this role.
