Registered Manager - Willow Rise Residential Services

About the role As the Registered Manager you will provide leadership and expert guidance to a large staff team working across the three homes, ensuring that high quality standards of care continue to be provided to the children in our care.  As part of the role you will be required to: Ensure the service continues to operate in accordance with the Care Standards 2000 and Children's Home Regulations; Ensure operational staffing levels are maintained by organising and deploying staff across the homes and leading on recruitment; Ensure that staff implement and adhere to safeguarding policies and procedures, including completing notifications to Ofsted following serious incidents; Ensure that standards of care are maintained and that the homes remain safe for staff and residents, including compliance with Fire Regulations and Health and Safety Regulations (including Food safety); Manage a large service level budget and ensure that resources are deployed in a manner that supports the delivery of positive outcomes for children and demonstrates value for money; and Liaise with Reg 44 visitors and Ofsted inspectors as required, ensuring that any actions/recommendations arising from visits or inspections are completed in a timely manner, as well as the completion and submission of Reg 45 reports to Ofsted every 6 months. About you We are looking for an experienced and confident leader to take on the role of Registered Manager and provide leadership to the service for the next 18 months, whilst the current Registered Manager is on a secondment. Candidates will need to have had prior management experience working within a children's residential home setting and must have worked within a children's home for at least 2 years within the last 5 years. The successful candidate would ideally already possess a Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent recognised qualification but if not, must be willing to complete this qualification. A willingness to undergo the Ofsted registration process to become a Registered Manager will also be essential.
