Head of Pensions Investments & Treasury

The postholder will work collaboratively with the Head of Pensions Administration to provide professional leadership to the two pension funds, reporting to the Directors of Finance. There will be a separate process to determine which role acts as the Senior Responsible Officer role for both funds, and there will be an opportunity for both postholders to apply for this additional responsibility. An allowance equal to 10% of salary will be payable for this extra responsibility. To succeed in this role you will have the skills and knowledge necessary to deliver effective treasury management of the Councils' cash position. You must be a capable leader in the LGPS sector, confident working directly with elected Members and senior officers to deliver excellent investment outcomes. The Sutton and Kingston Pension Funds have a strong track record of achievement and are leaders amongst LGPS funds, winning a number of awards for excellence. You will need to use your detailed investment experience, effective communication skills and robust approach to governance to ensure we continue to deliver high quality services to Pension Fund members.
