About the role Transport Services manages the maintenance and repair of the Council’s vehicle fleet/plant/equipment, in accordance with legal regulations, lease company’s and manufactures’ standards and targets. Workshop Assistant role is to support the supervisors and Workshop Manager by assisting in the day to day operations of the Councils fleet maintenance workshop. This is an entry level role supporting qualified technicians in servicing and maintaining the Council’s diverse vehicle fleet. The postholder will help ensure fleet vehicles are safe, roadworthy and available to deliver Council services.
