Hackney is one of the most dynamic and progressive local authorities in the UK. We are a resilient, vibrant, and creative borough in the heart of London, with strong, diverse communities and a powerful set of shared values.
An exciting opportunity has arisen within Hackney Building Control for a Technical Support Officer to join our dynamic team. The post offers a fantastic chance to gain experience in the building control sector. The successful candidate will work closely with the Senior Technical Support Officer and the Senior Building Control Levy Monitoring Officer to validate all types of building regulations applications and notices, support Registered Building Inspectors/Surveyors, deliver a high-quality service to clients and ensure the council’s statutory functions are discharged.
The prospective candidate must have experience working in a busy office and be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines. In addition, you will collaborate with key stakeholders and local authority teams to ensure successful project delivery.
You will have the chance to work in a supportive environment with opportunities for personal and professional development. Growth, innovation, and ambition are encouraged to help shape this part of London. Should you require any help or advice with your online application, please contact the Building Control Manager on
